Roanoke – December 4, 2019
LXCouncil, one of the leading initiators of CEO Mastermind groups for business leaders in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest, has chosen Henry Bass to moderate its Roanoke area peer groups as it expands its presence in Southwest Virginia in early 2020.
LXCouncil curates small groups of business leaders in non-competing industries with diverse perspectives and viewpoints who come together to participate in professionally facilitated council meetings. During these monthly meetings group members provide advice for each other based on their experiences owning and/or leading their companies.
As a moderator, Henry will encourage open dialogue while directing discussions toward leadership growth and personal learning. Essential to productive council meetings, good moderating requires effective facilitation and a keen sense of group dynamics, skills which Henry currently possesses as he has been leading two groups successfully in Blacksburg since 2013. Henry is also founder and president of Automation Creations, Inc.
“We select our markets carefully and Roanoke is the next logical step for expansion since we have been present in the New River Valley for the last 6 years. Roanoke’s business community has proven to have an appetite for this concept and we expect to build on our current success where over 20 CEO’s have participated in LXCouncil groups for years. Couple that with having Henry Bass as a seasoned moderator alongside our strategic alliance partner, Woods Rogers, and we are well positioned to launch a group in early 2020,” says Tina Corner, Founder of LXCouncil.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community that has been good to me through LXCouncil with the strategic support of Woods Rogers’ leadership,” said Henry Bass. “Seeing the profound impact a group of senior executives who are fully invested in each other’s success can create is truly inspiring.”
LXCouncil works with a local strategic partner in all of its markets. Woods Rogers law firm will lend its support as the Roanoke partner. Woods Rogers President Dan Summerlin said, “We’re delighted to work with LXCouncil to bring their peer advisory program to Roanoke. We’ve seen the success of LXCouncil’s Blacksburg groups and look forward to seeing these efforts enhance the Roanoke business community.”
LXCouncil expects the new Roanoke group will hold its first meeting in February 2020.
LXCouncil (Leader Exchange Council) is a membership-based organization that creates peer advisory groups of non-competing business owners and leaders through a unique model. There are three levels of groups for which an owner can qualify. Each council is hand-selected, allowing members to explore potential solutions to their problems and gain advice for achieving their visions. LXCouncil was founded by Tina Corner, author of Sit Down!
